Pamela Zendt

A resident of Atlanta, I’m a wife and mother. I’m also a graduate student at Kennesaw State University, a cyclist and a lover of peace on Earth all 365 days of the year. I write about community science and make other observations about nature since I’m outside “all” the time. I publish twice a month, along with some special editions and podcasts.

Community science (aka citizen science, volunteer science) is simply when regular people make notes or take pictures on something from the natural world and report it to environmental experts who are studying that very thing. So far, I’ve written about water sampling, frog watching, sky gazing and birding. Plus, much more. I’m into my second year with the project with a growing subscriber base.

Read along and you’ll learn one big thing: My efforts have a strong bias for action. Join as a subscriber—no fees, no paywalls—and see what I mean.
